Today is the day!! The day I have been working my butt off (literally) for! I’m heading to Los Angeles for a LAdventure with Remington and the other 3 new Red Chair Ambassadors to begin our training, make a video, take pictures and get pampered!

As a recap, I worked with Rebecca Tabbert doing a form of bootcamp that she designed for me to meet my goals. We worked out together 3 times a week and I worked out on my own the other days. The goal was a healthier, leaner, stronger body. I was not concerned with weightloss, just toning. I followed the 17 Day Diet but had to add in some complex carbs for breakfast and lunch since my workouts were shaky from lack of carbs.

Bring On Tomorrow

As far as exercise, yesterday was a loss. No exercise. At all. Nope, not unless you count cheering at a baseball game or walking the garden section at Home Depot! My son was with a friend for the day, my housekeeper canceled and Rebecca had to reschedule so my daughter and I hit the salon and got our nails done. Then we went to lunch with my husband and shopped for spring flowers at Home Depot. The afternoon closed in on us quickly as we headed out to a baseball game in which my daughter would participate in a gymnastics demo prior to the game starting. The day was certainly not wasted but it was not focused either.

I’m Here but Burned Out

What does a woman on a mission eat when she is away from home? A little of this, and a little of that. Little being the optimal word here.

While away on a retreat with the women of my church this weekend, I did not come prepared as I should have, for the food selection. I had the inside scoop on the menu so I thought I’d have enough options to keep me fed, fueled and eating fairly clean. I should have known that when I left late enough to get stuck in Friday evening traffic and knew I wouldn’t make dinner that I was in for a weekend off the Mom Beauty Bootcamp diet! I stopped at Bakers for an all-chicken burrito. It stayed in my stomach like a rock for a very long time. I was no longer used to eating like that. Two weeks is enough time to detox your body of all those toxic foods!

More To This Than Just Fitness?

This update is for Wednesday, April 27, 2011 (I’m behind but wanted to make sure to journal each day for myself and for you if you are following along)

I’m finding that this 21 Day Fit and Firm program is helping me in surprising ways! Because I have Rebecca coming to my house 3x/week, my home has actually been picked up on a consistent basis (just don’t look behind closed doors!). LOL. The laundry doesn’t sit on the couch waiting to be put away, dishes get done at regular intervals and the vacuum comes out in between visits from my wonderful housekeeper. Pathetic? Maybe but at least it’s getting done.

And you know what? I have the energy to do it because of working out!
